The new photos were released as part of Alicia’s campaign with animal rights group PETA, which tells viewers that Alicia will “never” be naked on TV or in the movies.
Over the years, PETA has become known for celebrity nude photoshoots, largely revolving around a policy of “I’d rather be naked than wear animals”. is part of the campaign, but she’s not the only celeb to pose nude on the ‘gram’ this year, with Dua Lipa, the Kardashian family, Nicole Scherzinger and more joining in 2022.
Alicia’s new shoot sees her posing completely naked in just cowboy boots surrounded by cactus plants (as a nod to the campaign’s promotion of cactus leather).
Appearing in the video alongside the photos taken, Alicia told viewers, “If you need me to be naked to take care of an animal, that’s what I want.”
She continued, “I’ve never been naked on TV or in the movies. Nothing. Never. No. But I’ve done it for PETA.”
The actress then discussed sustainability and animal cruelty in the leather industry, instead promoting vegan leather alternatives made from cacti, mushrooms, or apples.
