LeBron James Poses For First-Ever Family Photo Shoot With Vanity Fair


Los Angeles Lakers All-Star LeBron James remains a sports superstar and cultural icon 20 years after his NBA debut, showing little signs of slowing down as he approaches his 40s.

James is gearing up for his fifth season with the Lakers, hoping to get back in the fight for the NBA championship after two disappointing years. At the same time, he has built a career as an entrepreneur, philanthropist and entertainer, proving himself to be a Renaissance man for the 21st century.

The 37-year-old spoke to Vanity Fair about his extraordinary career and posed for his first-ever photoshoot with his family, which includes his wife Savannah’s parents and James’ mother Gloria.

The feature, along with LeBron’s sons Bryce and Bronnie, celebrates a generational change in the James family and prepares them for a professional basketball career. We also explore the cultural and social footprint of his four-time NBA champion and how it intersects with his illustrious career.

In his most recent media venture, the LeBron co-founder produced “The Redeem Team,” a Netflix documentary about Team USA’s men’s basketball team’s Olympic gold medal win at the 2008 Beijing Games.

Netflix released a trailer for a movie this week starring James and Lakers icon Kobe Bryant. “Redemption Team” premieres on his October 7th.

The Vanity Fair photoshoot came after LeBron, Bryce, and Bronnie appeared on the cover of Sports Illustrated last month. The story of the Lakers’ All-Star sons seems to continue to grow.

The forward recently said he could play until Bryce made it into the league, which would take at least three years to qualify for the NBA Draft.
