Despite her new royal role, Queen Camilla continues to support longtime charities.
On Tuesday morning, the 75-year-old Queen Consort visited the Emmaus community at Bobby Vincent House in South London to tour homeless charities and learn more about current initiatives and ideas for women-only housing. Emmaus helps formerly homeless people get back on their feet with accommodation, jobs and other resources.
according to IndependentCamilla has been a patron of the organization since 2006 and spoke about her long-standing relationship with the charity in an informal speech during her visit. Supporting people, the Queen Consort talked about how she would like to visit each hub.

Elsewhere in Emmaus, the Queen said she was interested in opening an all-female community home, provided space was available as the management wanted. Since then, women’s interests and causes have been a key priority in Camilla’s public works, and she capped off the visit by sharing a cup of tea and mince pies with her peers.
