Influencer Tammy Hembrough has been called out by fans for making a lavish purchase after it was revealed that she spent more than $2,000 on a simple cake stand and jug. We shared a carousel of snaps from our Christmas celebration, and there were a few kitchen items that stood out.
The popular Influencer Updates Instagram account let followers know that Tammy’s pink Helle Mardahl Studio jug is around AUD 818, while her matching cake stand is worth around AUD 1,405. Created by London artists, each piece is hand-crafted using the mouth-blown technique, which may have contributed to the high price.
The fitness influencer is widely reported to have an estimated net worth of $38 million and boasts nearly 16 million followers on Instagram.
The 28-year-old’s flashy kitchen purchase sparked controversy, with some people defending her decision.
“I’m not going to lie. I love that cake stand. Not to mention, instead of buying cheap mass-produced s**t that’s used once and landfilled, it supports little artists,” fan said. pointed out.
“I mean, she’s more likely using it than a lot of the things we’re spending money on—the cost per use! If that’s how you use it, go to your sister,” added another.
“I love them!! If I could afford to splash some cash on those items, I definitely would!” A third chime rang.
“At least they add color and warmth to her bland interior. But they are beautifully crafted. Personally, I like to support local artists, many here and inland.” said another person.
However, some labeled Tammy’s Wealth Show “tacky,” while others disliked designer kitchenware.
“That’s what you call having enough money to flush down the toilet. You wouldn’t want to drop it on the first day or so,” one person commented.
“The cake plate looks like a candle stick and plate hack you find in stores,” quipped another.
“It looks like something from Binnie’s,” added the third.
“A humble person does not bend his wealth,” added another.
